MANSA APPRECIATIES THE PERFORMANCE OF JNPT

 

In the Port Advisory Committee Meeting held by JNPT & chaired by the Chairman JNPT on 21st November 2012, MANSA expressed its hearty appreciation for the excellent efforts and the achievements made by JNPT under the Chairman's leadership.

In the past one year, the Port has successfully commenced path breaking project of further deepening of the alongside Berths and the Channel to 14 meters, a trend setter in the National Port's scenario.

The Port has also undertaken to embark various progressive projects like improvement of Security at Ports, awarding the 330 meter extended berth to DP world, revival of the stunted major 4th Container Terminal project, improving the traffic pattern in Port's limits, repairing and development of roads, replacement of old QGCs, co-ordination with Customs and private Terminals to improve the performance and efficacy on scanning of Containers for smooth evacuation. Further along with various day to day operational issues, important infrastructure developments are expeditiously being taken up and dealt with for facilitation to the TRADE.

MANSA also placed on record its appreciation of the Container Operation Department and the Marine Department for their close co-ordination and co-operation and enhanced performance.

As a token of appreciation of the efforts made by JNPT, the President MANSA on behalf of all its members arranged a cake cutting ceremony in the Port Advisory Committee Meeting.

The Chairman in turn thanked MANSA and its Members and assured to carry on the infrastructure developments work for the benefit of the trade and users and welcomed any suggestions for improving the Port's efficiency.
